Setanta Setters was established with the idea of producing the best quality Gordon Setters that can still do what they were originally bred to do. Much thought and planning goes into each breeding. Every effort has been made to produce well balanced, healthy, multi-purpose dogs that can do whatever is asked of them, and look good doing it. Our first litter at Setanta Setters was produced using a leased
bitch Tartana Great Bay Lilith and our foundation stud dog DC Tarbaby's Setanta T Rex Jh. It was
a large litter 13 puppies with two rare red gordon setters. Rex carries a
recessive red gene and when mated with a female that's also a carrier than the
possibility exists of red puppies. (A repeat
breeding, whelped May 27
2005, did not
produce any red puppies.) Puppies from our first litter have all ready placed at
field trials, conformation shows, agility and obedience events. But most
importantly they all have loving homes. This litter was the first out of our
stud dog and the start of the Setanta First Line.

OUR "B Litter"
OUR "A Litter"
Our second litter at Setanta Setters was produced using our foundation stud dog DC Tarbaby's Setanta T Rex Jh and our foundation bitch Dante's Setanta Thin Lizzy. A beautiful litter that combined for the first time two lines the Tarbaby Line and the Dante Line. The pick male from this litter will be used at stud by Setanta Setters early in 2006.This litter was the second out of our stud dog, continuing the Setanta First Line.
OUR "C Litter"
Our third litter at Setanta Setters was produced using the services of a stud dog Hcask Splbnd Gone With The Win JH and our foundation bitch Dante's Setanta Thin Lizzy. A beautiful litter that combined two very strong lines and produced the second Line at Setanta Setters. Setanta Top Gun has all ready placed in the show ring and show's great promise in the field. Building a strong Setanta Tradition of good looking good doing bird dogs. Simply put Dual Dogs.

Our fourth litter at Setanta Setters was produced using Setanta Jeepster of Tartana and IndianSky Setanta Lonestar. A beautiful litter that combined two very strong Setanta lines.

OUR "E" LITTER
Combining two Dual Champion lines Rex is the 46th Dual Champion Gordon Setter. Star's father ET is the 47th Dual Champion Gordon Setter. This breeding combines five generation Dual Champion lines on both sides of the pedigree. We decided to keep a puppy from this litter. Watch for Setanta Indian Sky Rexstar Z in both the field and show ring in 2007.
